Craig Canovitch, 81, lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 14, surrounded by loved ones.

Craig was born on May 10, 1945 to Anthony and Elizabeth (Muzychuk) Canovitch in Haverhill.

Cherished husband of Jeanne (Tuccolo) Canovitch, they shared 59 years of marriage. He is also survived by his son Timothy and wife Kim; cherished grandchildren Cameron and Saige Chambers; his sister Lynette and sister in-law, Marianna; as well as several nieces, nephews and cherished friends. Craig was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Amy Beth and his brother Lowell.

Craig was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Haverhill schools before graduating from Lowell Technical College. During his high school years, he worked at Steve’s Market, in Haverhill, beginning a long and varied working life. Craig spent many years working at Borden Chemical in North Andover. After leaving Borden, he continued his career at Orange Plastics and later Royale Limousine.

While Craig was proud of his work, it was the people, experiences, and memories he created throughout his life that meant the most to him. He loved to travel, play sports, entertain, and especially cook for large gatherings of family and friends. Craig had a wonderful way of bringing people together, and his home was always filled with good food, and laughter.

Craig will be remembered for his love of family and friends, his generous spirit, his enjoyment of life, and the countless memories he created with those around him. Whether he was traveling to the Caribbean, watching the horses at the racetrack, preparing a meal for a crowd, or simply enjoying time with the people he loved, Craig knew how to make the most of every moment.

His greatest legacy is the love he shared and the many lives he touched along the way. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Craig’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest peacefully.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Ceremony will begin at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. For guestbook, visit www.driscollcares.com
