HAVERHILL - Constance A. (Connie) Shannon Connors, 88,  passed away peacefully at her home on March 13, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Lovingly known as "Hot Nana" to all those who loved her, she was born on September 7, 1933 in Worcester, MA to the late Daniel Shannon and Gertrude Mapplebeck.

Connie was the wife of the late John W. Connors and is survived by her children Richard Connors, Patricia Roberts and husband Vincent (Tim), Debra Garvey and husband Mark, MaryLou Connors, John Connors and wife Jeannine, Robert Connors and wife Kelly, Joanne Connors and close friend (son) Barry Levy. Grandchildren Amy Roberts, Erin Gobbi and husband Corey, Colleen Garvey, Kelsey Garvey, Patrick Garvey and wife Andrea, Mikayla Connors, Kira Connors and Daniel Connors. Great-Grandchildren Cameran Gobbi, Connor Gobbi, Noa Garvey and Gianna Manriquez. She was the adoring "mama" to her beloved cavapoo Susie Q. She is also survived by her sisters Carolyn Semon of Rutland, MA, Ruth Kos of Grafton, MA, and Susan Bacon of FL  and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Bunny Connors, her grandson Timothy Roberts, brothers Daniel Shannon and Donald Mapplebeck, and sister Nancy Shannon Perrot

Connie was the founder of the North Andover Parent Advisory Council (NAPAC) and past chairperson of the State advisory Council for Chapter 766. She was founder of the Religious Education CCD for Special needs children of St Michaels.  She strongly believed that her daughter and all special education students had a right to an education in the school system and had a right to receive their religious sacraments like everyone else. She was also co-founder of the CONN (clothe our needy newborns) for the Telephone Pioneers of America, Chaired the Statue of Liberty renovation project for the Pioneers of America, Recipient of the St. Augustine's Award from Merrimack College, and volunteered with her husband for Merrimack Valley Hospice for seven years.

Despite raising eight children, Connie always found time to try new things such as macrame, heading up the Red Hot Mamas softball team, ceramic classes, golf, wig parties, and cake decorating to name just a few. She was cofounder of Girl Scout troop 90 and has aways had a special place in her heart for her Scouts. She was an avid gardener and was proud of her Gardener of the Month status for City of Haverhill.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery, No. Andover.
