HAVERHILL: Constance A. "Connie" DeFazio, 70, died peacefully Thursday morning, with her family present, at Merrimack Valley Hospital.

Born in Haverhill on February 11, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Anthony J. and Lena (Schiavoni) DeFazio.

Connie was a graduate of St. James Central High School in the class of 1957.Her work career spanned many years to include the former Haverhill Hardware, Andy Moss Appliance Center of Haverhill and Plaistow, and in 2003 she retired from A & M Appliance of North Andover. Connie was a life time member of St. James Parish and a member of Sisters of St. Joseph Association. She enjoyed many years of food, fun and boating with family and friends at her home on Kingston Lake. She also loved watching the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins.

She is survived by several loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends are invited to Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill Saturday at 9:00 a.m. to be followed by a Pre-Burial Service at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Church, Winter Street, Haverhill. Calling hours Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
