HAVERHILL: Claire F. (Stramski) Guarino, 73, died August 3, 2010 at Penacook Place.

Born in Salem, MA on February 18, 1937, Mrs. Guarino was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Emma S. (Opolski) Stramski.

Claire graduated from Essex Agricultural Institute in 1956. She had worked 25 years as a home health aid for the Visiting Nurses Association. She was a great mom, and her children fondly remember the family picnics. She was a member of the former St. Rita's Church.

Claire is survived by her son, Michael Guarino; daughter, Catherine Guarino, both of Haverhill; one grandson, Nathan; brothers, Fred Stone of North Carolina, John Stram, MD and his wife Jean of Rye Beach, NH, Robert Stram, MD and his wife Karen of Maine; sister, Christine Deasy and her husband John of China, ME, and several nieces and nephews.

The arrangements by Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill will be private.
