HAVERHILL: Claire E. (Petrino) Redding, 73, formerly of Belmont, died July 18, 2010. Mrs. Redding was the wife of the late Edward E. Redding.

Born in Belmont on July 11, 1937, Mrs. Redding was the daughter of the late Ernest A. and Mary L. (Ferrero) Petrino.

Mrs. Redding graduated from Belmont High School, Class of 1955. Following her marriage she moved to Arlington where she lived for forty-three year before moving to Haverhill to be near her son. Early in her career she worked at the Harvard Business School prior to remaining home to raise her family. She found great comfort in her dogs, and enjoyed playing bingo with her friends at Haverhill Crossing.

Mrs. Redding is survived by her son, Edward J. Redding and his wife Julie of Haverhill; daughter, Cheryl M. Proulx and her husband Andrew of Groton, MA, and grandchildren, Ashley, Michael, Samantha and Brandon.

Friends are invited to the funeral Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill. Calling hours will precede the funeral from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Interment at Belmont Cemetery.
