Charles E. Markham, 89 of Haverhill, MA passed away unexpectedly at home on May 25. He was the beloved husband of the late Rita .(Freimanis) Markham with whom he shared almost 25 years of marriage.

Charlie was predeceased by his parents, Charles E. and Doris M. (Bailey) Markham and his brother Bill.

Charlie is survived by his sister Ethel E (John) Lomasney, nephews Jack and Kevin (Michelle) and their families as well as his step-children Karen L. (Steve) Rubinstein, Grant E (Katie) Davies and Ellen I (Preston) Birckner and their families.

Born and raised in Lynn, MA he was a graduate of Saint Mary’s High School, Salem State.

University and received a Masters Degree from Boston University.Charlie was an educator in North Reading school system for 37 years.

Golf was Charlie’s passion. He was a caddie at Happy Valley Golf Course and a four year member of St. Mary’s golf team. He golfed several times a week into his eighties.

Charlie was an avid Boston Red Sox and NE Patriots fan. He enjoyed watching the LPGA and PGA tours on tv.

Charlie was deeply loved by his family and will be remembered fondly by all of those who knew him.
