Obituary

HAVERHILL - Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Catherine A. Hanscom (Cathy), passed away peacefully at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA from congestive heart failure, in the loving presence of her family on May 7, 2022. She was 64 years of age.

Cathy leaves behind her two daughters, Michelle and Katrina, her only son Christopher and his very supportive wife Amanda, three loving grandchildren Matthew, Nathaniel, and Ava, and two sweet great-grandchildren Mya and Natalie. She also leaves behind four siblings Terry, Diana, Richard, and David along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her eldest brother Michael, whom she felt very close with.

She was born on August 5, 1957 to Jennie Hanscom. She was a long-time resident of Haverhill, MA where she attended Northern Essex Community College. She held many positions caring for individuals with physical and mental disabilities, positions for which she cared for very deeply.

Cathy loved cooking holiday meals for family as well as camping, beaches, rides to Newburyport, summer days, and animals, particularly dogs. She had a big heart and loving soul and she will be missed by many.
