GEORGETOWN - Catherine (McManus) Doheney, 76, passed away from Alzheimer's Disease on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Masconomet Health Care Assisted Living in Topsfield.

She was born on October 6, 1941 in Everett, daughter of John and Anne (Parker) McManus. Catherine worked for over 25 years for Tufts University as Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Faculty until her retirement. She was a social and active woman who enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with her family. Catherine will always be remembered as a person with a heart of gold. Her family would like to the thank the staff of Masconomet Health Care for the tremendous care they have given her.

Catherine's surviving family members include her devoted husband of 41 years John Doheney of Georgetown; loving daughters Lynne Auger of Haverhill and Cheryl Haley and husband John of Georgetown; son William Auger of Malden; cherished grandchildren Vincent DePina of Marshfield, Emily, Benjamin, Anne and Madison Haley of Georgetown; siblings Jacqueline DiChiara of Saugus, and Gail Hadley of FL; several in-laws and many nieces and nephews; mother of the late Vincent Doheney; sister of the late Clayton McManus, Raymond McManus, John McManus, James McManus and Donald McManus.

Visiting hours will be Sunday, October 7, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Services will begin Monday morning in the funeral home at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary Parish, 94 Andover Street, Georgetown at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Georgetown.
