HAVERHILL - Barry Kittredge, 69, lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 22, 2017.
He was born in Haverhill on December 23, 1947, son of the late Clarence and Beatrice (Garavanta) Kittredge. Barry graduated from Haverhill High School, Salem State and received his Masters Degree in Education from University of Massachusetts Lowell.
Barry shared a loving marriage with his wife of 45 years Andrea (Manning) Kittredge. He was a lifelong educator with his career spanning many years in teaching and administration at various Haverhill schools including, Consentino, Hunking, and Haverhill High School, retiring in 2007 as Assistant Principal.
During that time, he and his wife owned Mr. K's Auto School, as well as Kittredge Insurance Agency in Bradford Square. He loved sports and his activities included being a basketball and softball referee, football announcer, and he coached various sports teams. Barry was an avid golfer and longtime member of the Haverhill Country Club. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his grandchildren at the beach.
In addition to his loving wife, Barry's surviving family members include his children Timothy Kittredge and wife Tarrah of Milton, GA, Daniel Kittredge and wife Leah of New Canaan, CT and Beth Stepan and husband Timothy of Hingham; cherished grandchildren Lexi, Nate and Ellison Kittredge, Isabelle and Harry Kittredge, Hunter and Wyatt Stepan; siblings Debra Huberdeau and husband Richard of Haverhill; Donna Mears of Haverhill; several nieces and nephews; many loving and close friends.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, May 24, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Services will begin Thursday in the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Funeral Service in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 So. Main Street, Haverhill at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Haverhill. For online guestbook, please visit www.driscollcares.com
