MERRIMAC - Barry S. Bourque, 61, of Merrimac, passed away on Thursday morning, January 14, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Barry was born on August 25, 1954 in Haverhill, son of the late Raymond and Eleanor (Giles) Bourque. He attended Haverhill schools and worked for many years in the auto body industry in the area.

Loving husband of 35 years to Carol (Potter) Bourque of Merrimac.

He has been a longtime resident of Merrimac where he and his wife raised their family. Barry's interest included hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors and on his boat with family and friends.

His surviving family members in addition to his wife include his two sons Russell Bourque and wife April of Salem, NH and Adam Bourque of Merrimac; siblings Bill Bourque and wife Joan of Haverhill, Calvin Bourque of Kingston, Simone Mooers and husband Dave of Atkinson, Jane Bourque of Amesbury, Carole Sibley of Haverhill and Jay Bourque and wife Linda of Fremont, NH; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 17, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Services will be held at 4:00 PM.
