HAVERHILL: Barbara L. (Hanson) Kennedy, 87, formerly of North Andover, MA, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by those she loved. Mrs. Kennedy was the wife of the late John J. Kennedy.

Born in North Andover on December 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Arthur R. and Gladys (Dobson) Hanson.

Barbara was a graduate of North Andover's Johnson High School, Class of 1946. She worked for years as an assembler in the Crystal Room at the former Western Electric before retiring in 1984.

Barbara was a member of St. Michael's Church in North Andover. She was an avid bowler, and enjoyed her trips to Foxwoods with her daughters.

Barbara survived by her children; Jacqueline Miller of Haverhill, Charlene Fleming and her husband William of Fremont, NH, John J. Kennedy, Jr. and his wife Linda of Londonderry, NH; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews

Funeral arrangements conducted through Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill will be private.
