Obituary

HAVERHILL: Arthur J. Lorimer, 93, passed away on September 14, 2012 at Holy Family Hospital. Born in Haverhill on February 13, 1919, Mr. Lorimer was the son of the late Spurgeon and Barbara (Blake) Lorimer.

Arthur was educated in Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill High School. He was an artist who enjoyed painting, sculpture and photography. During the war he applied his photography skills as an aerial photographer with the 18th Army Air Corps before his discharge as a Staff Sergeant in 1945. During that period he was detached for special assignment to Hg. Co. of the 3rd Air Force under the command of Capt. Ronald W. Reagan. Arthur worked many years as a technician for the Gobbi & Reynolds TV & Appliance Shop before his retirement.

He is survived by his longtime friends, Charles W. Reynolds, Edith S. Robinson, Steven and Jack Ottaviani, Thomas Law of Plaistow and Lester Welch of Maryland. Arrangements by Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill will be private.
