CLAREMONT, NH: Arthur Collins, 88, formerly of Haverhill, passed away on March 6, 2018 at Elm Wood Center. Arthur was the husband of the late Beatrice A. (Holt) Collins.

Born in Newport, VT on September 14, 1929, he was the son of the late George A. and Gladys M. (Huntington) Collins.

Arthur worked twenty years as an assembler at Fremont Furniture, and then eleven years as custodian at the former Old Colony Bank, now Bank of America, before retiring in 1987. Arthur enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout New England, and realized a longtime dream when he and his wife were able to travel to England. Arthur had served ten years as a member of the Army National Guard.

Arthur is survived by his sister, Velma Barrett of Atkinson, NH; nieces, Debbie Noel, Jody Lacasse, Diane Barrett; nephews, Terry Mooradian, James Mooradian and Robert Greenwood.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Tuesday, March 27th, at 2:30 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill.
