HAVERHILL - Aram George Mooradian, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at the High Pointe House, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Haverhill on December 12, 1930, son of Krikor and Helen (Jaffarian) Mooradian. Aram attended Haverhill schools and graduated from Haverhill High / Haverhill Trade School in 1948. He had resided in Haverhill all his life until the past 9 years where he resided in Kingston, NH with his family.

Aram is a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served as an Airman First Class from 1951 to 1959 when he was honorably discharged. He served in the Army Reserves and U.S. Coast Guard. He played minor league baseball before entering the service for the New York Yankees and tried out as a pitcher for the Boston Red Sox in 1950. He retired from Raytheon Company after 35 years of service.

The Mooradian family would like to thank the staff of the High Pointe House in Haverhill for the care they have given to Aram during his time there.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Avis (Sardella) Mooradian, three children, James Mooradian and his wife Laurie of Haverhill, Robert Mooradian of Haverhill and Donna (Mooradian) Letendre and her husband Brian of Kingston, NH. Grampy will be missed by his grandchildren, Caitlyn, Ryan, Kevin and his wife Jennifer, Ethan, Matthew, Samuel and Damien. He will also be missed by his great-grandchildren Audrey and Peyton Mooradian. He was the brother of late Harry and Nazareth Mooradian.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held on Friday morning, December 22 in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Services will begin at 11:00 AM.
