OSSIPEE, NH: Anna K. (Shaw) Dirago, 91, formerly of Haverhill, died peacefully January 17, 2011 with her daughter and grand daughter by her side. Anna was the wife of the late Emilio L. Dirago.

Born in Haverhill on January 16, 1920, Anna was the daughter of the late Emery J. and Anna K. (MacDonald) Shaw.

Following her graduation from Haverhill High School, Class of 1938 she worked five years at Fifth Avenue Shoe. She then joined the former Western Electric where she worked thirty-one until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of the Advent Christian Church in Haverhill.

Anna is survived by her daughter, Catherine "Cathy" McCarthy and her husband Timothy of Effingham, NH; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Alfred H. Dirago, and sister of the late Donald W. Shaw.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral Friday, January 21, 2011, at 1:00p.m. at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill. Calling hours will precede the funeral from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Interment at Linwood Cemetery.
