HAVERHILL - Angelo J. Zappala, 66, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, surrounded by his family at the Oxford Manor Nursing Home. He had suffered from health complications after a stroke.

Angelo was born on January 13, 1951, the son of Mary E. Zappala and the late Joseph A. Zappala. An avid musician and knowledgeable historian, he also loved spending time at Salisbury beach where he had many fond memories from his youth.

His surviving family members in addition to his beloved mother Mary Zappala, include his loving siblings Elizabeth Pearl, Rosemarie Deveau and husband John, and Joseph Zappala and wife Lisa; nephews and niece Brian and Jason Pearl, Caitlin and Matthew Deveau, and Joseph B. Zappala; also, Aunt Josie and Uncle Richard Edelmann; and several cousins.
