NO. ANDOVER - Andrea S. Hart, longtime No. Andover resident and recently of Amesbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 9, 2016, with her loving daughter by her side.

Andrea was born in Concord, MA on September 20, 1949, daughter of the late Martin Sigfried and Lillian Marguerite (Haugh) Holland, first-generation descendants from Norway.

She was a longtime resident of No. Andover for twenty-seven years before moving to Amesbury to be closer to her cooperative gallery in Newburyport in 2008. Andrea is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Bradford College, and continued her education at University of Massachusetts with a graduate certificate in the prevention of domestic violence. Andrea also completed extensive coursework and workshops with the American Society of Portrait Artists, Massachusetts College of Art, Montserrat School of Visual Art, the Decordova Museum, and Forensic Art Techniques at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. She was a woman of strong faith and a devoted mother and grandmother. Andrea was a talented professional artist who shared her skills teaching all age groups. She enjoyed helping other people by volunteering at the Good Samaritan's, and teaching adults, and underprivileged children to read. She loved singing in church, spending time with her family, as well as witnessing and painting the ever-changing beauty in nature and mankind. She fought a courageous and inspirational fight with an aggressive form of Parkinsonism.

Her surviving family members include her loving children Kristen Hart of Bradford, and Jason Hart of Gloucester; cherished grandchildren Jayden and Keenan Hart; brother Jack Holland and wife Judi of California; aunts Grace Bullis and Alice Barrett; former husband John Hart, father of her children, and several nephews, nieces, cousins and many dear and close friends; sister of the late James Holland.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 19 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill.

Funeral Services will be offered on Monday, June 20 beginning at 2:00 PM in the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to gather prior to the service at 1:00 PM. Celebration of Andrea's life will continue following the service at one of her favorite places, Michael's Harborside, 1 Tournament Wharf, Newburyport. All are invited to attend.
