HAVERHILL: Alice (Walker) Durant, 86, a life long resident of Haverhill, died Oct. 26th at Baker-Katz Nursing Home. Mrs. Durant was the wife of Walter I. Durant.

Born in Haverhill July 20, 1920, Mrs. Durant was the daughter of the late Frank L. and Ella (Benoit) Walker.

She had attended Haverhill schools, and, before remaining home to raise her family, had worked as a bow stapler at Haverhill Shoe Novelty.

Besides her husband of 62 years she is survived by her children; Betty Dehart, and William E. Durant, both of Haverhill, grandchildren; Peter Durant, John Dehart and Brian Deveau, great grandchildren; Devin Dehart, twins Eric & Andrew Deveau, and twins Erin & Michael Deveau, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons Robert and Richard Durant.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service Sunday 1:00 at Portland Street Baptist Church. Interment at a later date at Linwood Cemetery.
