NEW MILFORD, NJ: Alberta I. (Lane) Rogers, 90, a former Haverhill resident for many years, died February 25th at the Woodcrest Healthcare Center. Mrs. Rogers was the wife of the late Robert C. Rogers.

Born in Newburyport September 3, 1917, Mrs. Rogers was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Pansie (Putnam) Lane.

Educated in Haverhill Mrs. Rogers graduated from Haverhill High School class of 1935. After raising her family she worked for the former Western Electric where she was employed as a Layout Operator until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of the Universalist Unitarian Church, past president of the Haverhill Womans City Club and the Haverhill Arts & Crafts Association.

She is survived by her daughter Joan Martinson and her husband David of Denver, CO; son Robert C. Rogers, Jr. and his wife Debbera Drake of Andover; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Lillian Coleman and Veva Gamage.

Friends are invited to the memorial service Sunday April 20th at 3:00 p.m. at the Universalist Unitarian Church. At the familys request there will be no calling hours.
