HAVERHILL - Albert E. Robinson, 83, of Haverhill, formerly of Reading, passed away on Monday morning, April 7, 2014 at the Nevins Nursing Home, Methuen.
Mr. Robinson was born on August 5, 1930 and raised in Somerville. He moved to New York and was a graduate of the Hoosac School in Hoosick, NY. He then attended Rochester Junior College, Rochester, Minnesota. Mr. Robinson is a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War.
Loving husband of Lera M. (Mortelli) Robinson whom they shared nearly 55 years of marriage.
They moved to Milton and started to raise their family. While raising their family, he attended night school at Bentley College to earn his degree in accounting. He began his career with the Pilgrim Trust Co., Boston for a period time then worked for Muzi Motors and Wilmington Sales for 45 years until his retirement in 1997. The Robinsons made their home in Reading and lived there for many years until moving to Haverhill to be closer to family.
Mr. Robinson was a faithful man being a parishioner of Sacred Hearts Church, Bradford. He volunteered for many local youth organizations, and always gave his time to family and others. Most of all, he was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving family members in addition to his wife include his cherished children, Kenneth Robinson of Lexington, Ralph Robinson and wife Kathleen of Bradford, Steven Robinson and wife Dita of Bradenton, FL, Patricia Goodwin and husband Dennis of Bradford, and Daniel Robinson and wife Wendy of Reading; beloved cousin Robert Coughlin and daughter Michaela of Carlisle; grandchildren, Lindsey Robinson, Taylor Robinson, Hannah Goodwin, Colby Robinson, Ella Robinson, Isaac Robinson, Steven Robinson, and Brett Robinson.
His funeral will be held Friday morning, April 11, beginning in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, (Rte. 125), Bradford at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 So. Main Street, Bradford at 11:00 AM. United States Army Honors will be rendered following his Mass. Visiting hours will be held Thursday in the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Robinson's memory to either, Nevins Family of Services, 10 Ingalls Court, Methuen, MA 01844; or Sacred Hearts School Endowment Fund, 31 So. Chestnut St., Bradford, MA 01835.
