Albert
Hardy, Jr.
November 7, 1959 — July 27, 2026
Haverhill
Albert Hardy, born on November 7, 1959, in Haverhill, passed away unexpectedly in Methuen on July 27, 2026. A man known for his dry sense of humor, Albert was a devoted family man, a loving father, and a passionate Boston sports enthusiast. He cherished his wife of 41 years, Susan (Simmons) Hardy, and loved nothing more than spending time with his family and being a doting papa to his granddaughters.
Albert graduated from Haverhill High School in 1977 and dedicated much of his professional life to the field of quality engineering. He retired after 30 years at Lucent Technologies in North Andover and was currently employed at Excelitas Technologies in Billerica. Albert also found joy in cruising, a testament to his love for adventure and relaxation with his beloved wife and son, Josh.
He leaves behind his wife, Susan; sons Chris Hardy and his wife Melissa of Methuen, and Josh Hardy of Haverhill; daughter Aja Dansereau and her husband William of Jay, VT; granddaughters Aria Dansereau and Isla Hardy; sisters Sharon Bailey and her husband Rick of Haverhill, Lisa Allan of Pittsfield, NH, and Patricia Hanides and her husband Steven of Haverhill; mother-in-law Roberta Simmons of Haverhill; several nieces and nephews; and his cherished dog, Lucy. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Hardy and Shirley Comeau Hardy, his brother Gerard Hardy, and Leon Marchand, a close companion of his mother-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 2, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Private family interment will take place in Elmwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
